Packing for general pump and fitting use - Type 742
Through the development of expanded pure graphite, DEPAC is even able to offer improvements over pre-pressed graphite rings today. Although the pre-pressed rings used in particular in power stations allowed good sealing possibilities, especially in the fittings area, they necessitated complex ordering and stock-keeping on the part of the operator, since special rings had to be ordered for each internal and external diameter.
That was expensive - and also required considerably more complex stock-keeping. With the same or even better sealing conditions, the type 742 offers the possibility, like conventional packings, of sold-by-the-kilo goods for various cross-sections and thus significantly more cost-effective operating conditions.
