The chemically resistant packing - Type 730
The type 730 is a packing that achieves top-class service lives even in extreme range of applications.
Unlike harder or asbestos-based packings, conventional shaft wear can be avoided to the greatest extent with the type 730. Expensive maintenance work can thus be saved.
This packing is manufactured in a diagonal braid from a new-type combination of PTFE fibres and specially bound graphite and guarantees ideal sliding properties as well as resistance to chemicals. The friction values are much lower than with conventional PTFE packings. The high flexibility and volume stability rules out brittleness, drying or conventional ageing.
